Does CounselPro use a password?
Last updated
No. CounselPro is passwordless. Every login uses a fresh 6-digit code emailed to you, so there's no password to set, remember, reset, or worry about leaking.
No. CounselPro does not use a password. You log in with a one-time 6-digit code sent to your email each time. There is no password to set, remember, or reset.
Why passwordless
A password is one more thing to forget, reuse, or leak. By emailing a fresh code for every login, CounselPro ties access to your inbox instead of a secret you have to manage. If someone cannot receive mail at your address, they cannot get in.
What this means for you
Nothing to remember. Each login sends a new code. Old codes stop working after 15 minutes.
No password reset. There is no password, so there is no reset page and nothing to recover. If you are stuck, the fix is almost always getting a fresh code.
Keep your email secure. Since your inbox is the key, protect it. Turn on two-factor authentication with your email provider so nobody else can read your login codes.
