Does CounselPro use a password?

Last updated

No. CounselPro is passwordless. Every login uses a fresh 6-digit code emailed to you, so there's no password to set, remember, reset, or worry about leaking.

No. CounselPro does not use a password. You log in with a one-time 6-digit code sent to your email each time. There is no password to set, remember, or reset.

Why passwordless

A password is one more thing to forget, reuse, or leak. By emailing a fresh code for every login, CounselPro ties access to your inbox instead of a secret you have to manage. If someone cannot receive mail at your address, they cannot get in.

What this means for you

  • Nothing to remember. Each login sends a new code. Old codes stop working after 15 minutes.

  • No password reset. There is no password, so there is no reset page and nothing to recover. If you are stuck, the fix is almost always getting a fresh code.

  • Keep your email secure. Since your inbox is the key, protect it. Turn on two-factor authentication with your email provider so nobody else can read your login codes.
