AI Forensic Analysis report

Generate a written forensic report for a matter: choose a case type and sections, review the findings, and export it to Word.

Last updated

The AI Forensic Analysis report is a written summary of a whole project: the income, the spending, the parties the money moved to, and what it all adds up to. It reads like a first draft of the financial story, drawn from the transactions CounselPro already pulled from the statements, so you have something to build a filing or a memo around instead of starting from a blank page.

It lives on the project's AI Analysis tab. You generate it once, read it with an "On this page" menu to jump between sections, and export it to Word.

The report is one of three ways to get answers out of a project, alongside the Daystrom chat and the ready-made Insights views. If you are deciding which to reach for, see how Daystrom differs from Insights and the AI Forensic Analysis report.

What can the report include?

You choose the sections when you generate it, and Daystrom suggests a set based on your case type. The common ones are:

  • Summary Overview, a high-level narrative of the key findings across every account.

  • Income & Transaction Analysis, deposits, withdrawals, and cash-flow patterns over time.

  • Spending Pattern Analysis, category breakdowns, recurring expenses, and lifestyle indicators.

  • Related Party Transactions, payments to known associates, businesses, and third parties.

  • Conclusions & Recommendations, findings and suggested next steps for the matter.

Depending on the case type you pick, more specialized sections are available too, like asset tracing, transfer patterns, a forensic timeline, or a means test. You add, drop, and reorder them when you generate the report.

When should I use the report instead of Daystrom?

Reach for the report when you want a written narrative you can hand off or edit. It is a one-time document that summarizes the whole project at once. Daystrom is the live counterpart for chasing specific questions, and it can pick up where the report leaves off. For a full breakdown, see how Daystrom differs from Insights and the report.

Why don't I see the AI Forensic Analysis report?

The report runs on a Daystrom feature that is enabled per account. If the AI Analysis tab shows "AI Analysis is not enabled on your account," it is not turned on for your firm yet, and the screen has a Contact Us link to unlock it. The tab also needs the project to have finished processing and to have transactions in it, so a brand-new or empty project will not offer the report until its statements are in.
