About CounselPro

Forensic analysis for every matter

Tracing the money used to mean hiring a forensic accountant who billed by the hour, so it only happened on the matters big enough to pay for one. We built the analysis into software so the small case gets the same look as the big one.

What we hold to

Every figure comes off the page
A row is what the statement prints. A figure the records cannot support is left open and flagged for you.
Every number shows its work
A sum prints its inputs beside the result, and any transaction opens the statement page it came from.
The hard records are the job
Photocopied pages, a company’s accounts beside the personal ones, a small-town credit union. The engine builds a reading plan for the layout in front of it, so every bank’s statement reads the same way.
Private records, handled privately
People hand over the most private thing they own. It is encrypted end to end, the infrastructure we run on is checked by outside auditors, and the details are written down on the security page.

How we work

Culture

Six things that decide what gets built, what gets cut, and how we answer when the records will not settle the question.

Build for the 9pm attorney

Not for the demo. For the person with a deadline, a difficult client, and a mountain of documents to get through tonight.

Say what is true

We flag what we cannot verify instead of papering over it. Honest is worth more to you than impressive, every time.

Chase the messy cases

The bad scans, the odd layouts, the forty accounts. The hard problems are where we add the most, so that is where we push.

Ship, learn, ship again

We would rather put something useful in your hands and sharpen it on your feedback than polish forever in the dark.

Stay in our lane

You know the law, the judge and the case. We know one narrow thing: what happened inside the statements. Nobody here explains your job to you.

Earn the trust every time

People hand us records they would show almost no one. Nobody here has ever treated that as routine, and nobody is going to start.

StartOne real matter

Test it on a case you know

Send a production you have already worked, where you know the answer. We run it and hand back every cycle that balanced, every one we left open, and the reason for each.

Family law, bankruptcy, fraud, embezzlement, business litigation and probate all run on the same records. The matter that could never carry a forensic engagement is the one this was built for.
