# Getting started with CounselPro

> New to CounselPro? This guide takes you from your first project to your first analysis: upload statements, check coverage, review transactions, resolve flags.

CounselPro takes a stack of financial statements and turns them into a searchable, reconciled picture of the money: every transaction, categorized, tied back to the page it came from. This guide walks you through your first project, start to finish.

Work through the steps in order. Each one is short and links to a deeper article if you want the full detail. By the end you will have a processed project and know how to pull answers out of it.

1. [Create your first project](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/create-your-first-project). A project holds one client's or one matter's statements.
2. [Upload your first statements](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/upload-your-first-statements). Add the bank, credit card, or brokerage PDFs.
3. [Watch them process](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/what-happens-after-you-upload-statements). CounselPro reads the pages and pulls out the transactions.
4. [Check you have every statement](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/find-missing-statements). Spot gaps before they cost you in discovery.
5. [Review the transactions](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/review-your-clients-transactions). Filter, search, and read any row back to its source page.
6. [Resolve what got flagged](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/resolve-flagged-items). Clear the items in the "Needs attention" panel.
7. [Ask questions and export findings](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/ask-questions-about-your-clients-finances). Put Daystrom to work.

> **Tip:** You do not have to finish everything in one sitting. Your project and its statements are saved as you go, and processing keeps running even if you close the tab.

Ready? Start with [creating your first project](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/create-your-first-project).
